COVINA STUDIO PRICING:
Flamenco = $60/month (4 classes) or $18 single class.
2 classes/week =$110 per month
3 classes/week = $140 per month
Unlimited = $160
Children's Flamenco= $45/month or $14 single class.
*One time Registration Fee for all NEW students of $20.

There are no refunds on classes. You must make-up your missed classes within 2 weeks of the missed class with a similar class.
Class Description:
Adult Flamenco I/II Choreography -For those with less than 1 year of experience, this class offers an introduction to all elements of flamenco & choreography and its terminology: “llamadas,” “marcajes,” “remates,” etc. This class is highly recommended because it drills Flamenco Technique, volcabulary & builds the foundation for a solid choreography building a dance using non-verbal communication with guitarist & Singer. This Class meets Thursday's at 7:30pm in Covina & Monday's 7:30 in Fontana.
Adv. Flamenco III: A minimum of 1 year of flamenco study is necessary to take this class. This class moves at a faster pace with more intricate footwork and detailed combination patterns. Technique exercises and drills involving footwork, marking steps and turns will be applied to the palo being studied each week. The choreographic structure is explained in greater detail and students learn how to build a flamenco dance from scratch. Focus & emphasis on attitude and style are also instilled in this class. It is recommended that dancers in this level take at least 2 classes a week. This Class is offered Sunday at 12 noon
Bulerias I & II: A minimum of 1 year for level 1, or teacher’s permission. Knowledge of 12 count flamenco marking steps & clapping in tiempo & contra tiempo is also necessary for this class. Technique exercises will be applied to class each week. Focus is on pataitas de buleria -improvised sections of buleria guided by the cante. You'll learn to identify: llamadas, desplantes, marcaje, entradas, salidas & cierres, As well as palmas for support in a cuadro flamenco setting.[Not offered currently]
Classical & Castanets: Learn the correct posture, arm & finger placement & technique in order to play the castanets effortlessly & combine this with the beautiful choreography you will learn of a classical spanish pasodoble, jota, or typical spanish folk song. Dance focus is on posture, proper classical position (like ballet), turns, & some footwork. Open to all levels. [Not offered currently]
Children's flamenco is open to all children boys/girls ages 4-12 years old.
Tiny Tot flamenco is open to children ages 3-5 years old who want a fun introduction to dance class. Little Gipsies is a 1/2 hr. Class where children are encouraged to follow directions in a group class setting while having fun moving to rumba flamenco music. Class focus is on coordination, following directions, building self esteem and encouragement. [Not currently offered]
Flamenco Technique -A great introduction to flamenco, or an excellent class for those who are more advanced and want to continue to build on the foundations to gather speed, agility, coordination with arms & skirt placment in your dancing so that when you dance choreography you can focus on emotion & expression. The class focuses on proper arm, hand, skirt and footwork technique as well as coordination exercises and turns. This class will also explore the notion of compás through rhythmic hand clapping technique and exercises. It is highly recommended that this class be taken along with Adult Choreography, or other flamenco choreography class. Class meets Thursday's at 6:45pm. in Covina, Monday at 6:30pm in Fontana and Tuesday at noon in Fontana.
